The 2017 Ford Escape has 3 different engines to  choose from. The first engine is the 2.5L iVCT  which has 168 horsepower and 170 lb-ft. of torque.  The 2.5L iVCT comes standard with the S model    and is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission  with SelectShift capability. If the 2.5L iVCT is not  the engine you are looking for, maybe you will be  interested in the new 1.5L EcoBoost Engine. The  1.5L EcoBoost engine has 179 horsepower with 177 lb-ft. of torque. This is a turbocharged, direct-injection engine. The 1.5L EcoBoost Engine is standard for the SE and Titanium models featuring robust low-end torque and virtually no turbo lag. The 1.5L EcoBoost also features a new paddle-shift technology that enhances the fun of driving EcoBoost models. The last option for an engine on the new 2017 Escape is the new 2.0L Twin-Scroll EcoBoost engine. This engine has a whopping 245 horsepower and 275 lb-ft. of torque. When you are driving, expect quick torque delivery and improved responsiveness from this new, twin-scroll turbocharged, direct-injection engine. The twin-scroll design maximizes the pulse energy to the turbine wheel for quick rogue delivery when needed most -- for example passing or merging onto a highway.

SYNC 3 with SYNC Connect

In addition to all the voice-activated benefits of SYNC - placing and answering class, and controlling music from your devices - you'll love the easy-to-used interface of SYNC 3. An 8" color LCD screen (one select models, smaller screen on some) displays phone, audio and navigation features. Enhanced voice recognition lets you give simple commands. A capacitive touchscreen includes a convenient swipe feature, as well as pinch-to-zoom functionality within navigation. When you have a SYNC Connect equipped Escape, you can use Ford's new app, FordPass, to track your vehicle's location and remotely access features such as start, lock and unlock, and vehicle status including fuel level and approximate mielage. You can also schedule specific time to remotely start your Escape.

The new 2017 Escape allows you and your family to venture out into the world with confidence. Equipped with adaptive cruise control, your Ford Escape will help you maintain your choice of speed and preset gaps from the vehicle in front of you. It can also be used to alert you to a potential collision. If one is detected, adaptive cruise control and collision warning with brake support flashes a warning via a head-up display on the windshield, sounds an alarm, and can pre-charge the brake system to provide you full responsiveness when you do hit the brakes. The all new 2017 Ford Escape also has a special lane-keeping system. This system is able to detect lane markings and apply torque to the steering wheel if it senses your vehicle drifting unintentionally out of its lane. If needed, the lane-keeping system can also send gentle vibration pulses to the wheel to prompt you to steer back towards the center. If it does detect that you have come to close to or crossed the markers multiple times, a driver alert system will display a cup of coffee to suggest that you take a brake from driving for a little while. Another amazing feature that helps keep your mind at ease is the Blind Spot Information System. This system alerts you with a light in either side-view mirror if its radar sensors detect a vehicle in the corresponding blind spot. Another part of the system is the cross-traffic alert which notifies you with a beep and a warning light in your side-view mirror if it detects a vehicle approaching either side as you slow back out of your parking space.
Use the all new 2017 Escape Trailer Tow Package to pursue your hearts wildest desires. The Escape SE and Titanium models provide the power and capability for you to tow up to 3,500 lbs when equipped with the 245-hp 2.0L EcoBoost engine and Class II Trailer Tow Package,. With the trailer sway control monitoring your vehicles motions, the system is able to control your Escape and the trailer by reducing the engine speed and selectively applying the brakes if needed.
